Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about posting, testing, offers, returns and payment.
Posting & safety
What posting service should I use?
We strongly recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery with suitable compensation cover for your parcel’s value. Use secure packaging and keep your tracking number and proof of postage.
Where do I send my parcel?
You’ll see the correct postal details on the valuation form page. Please complete the form before posting so we can match your parcel when it arrives.
Should I include anything inside the parcel?
Yes — include your name and email address inside the parcel so we can identify it quickly. If you have already completed the valuation form, this helps us match everything faster.
Testing & offers
How do you test gold?
We primarily use XRF testing, which is non-invasive in most cases. In some situations, filing or further testing may be required to confirm purity.
Is the online estimate guaranteed?
No. The calculator gives an estimate using live market prices. Your final offer is confirmed after we check the item’s weight, purity and test results.
What if I don’t accept the offer?
You are under no obligation to accept. If you decline, your items can be returned to you. Any return charge or return postage cost will be clearly explained before return dispatch.
Payment
When do I get paid?
Once you accept the final offer, we pay by UK bank transfer. Payments are usually made quickly during banking hours.
Do I have to give bank details upfront?
No. You can provide your sort code and account number later after accepting your final offer.
Are there hidden fees?
No. There are no hidden fees or surprise deductions from your confirmed offer. The final amount offered is the amount payable if you accept.
